Description

I apologise for the lack of uploads recently, owing to much tech problems and other troubles I've just not had the chance. But here's a thing, as I type this, all is well... so time for an upload I think. :)

I few weeks ago in Preston, me and *robertbeardwell met up on the station to shoot hopefully the Welsh Mountaineer (but I didn't, far too early in the morning) and the Fellsman, which had 46115 *shudder* on the front of it, so both of those from that day won't be seen here...

This will however. Robert used his new priceplan which includes internet access to check GEN on a regular basis, and despite picking up a few interesting movements, this remained undetected until Preston, 47580 "County Of Essex" and 47826 carrying branding for the Scarborough Spa Express from York to Scarborough and return. The former of course carries BR Large Logo Blue, the BR double arrow logo of which is also sometimes known as the arrows of indecision, as they point both ways and not just one way. Really this was meant to signify the fact that you can go either way on any line to anywhere it goes.

At first I thought this was a route learning exercise, where new drivers for some companies train their drivers with either their own locos or another companies locos on light movements across the network on certain routes they will be working, which helps them to recognise key points along the line, such as where they are at any given moment and when they have to brake for their station stops or destinations. However it later turned out to be just a loco move for a tour elsewhere on the network. So a rather boring reason for it to be here in the end.
