Diggle B.O.B

Today is the 23rd June 2011.

Norway is in mourning after a right wing activist group attacked the country and it's people, killing over 90 people. And in the UK, singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead in Camden, North London, in unexplained circumstances.

However today also happens to be the first anniversary of (nearly) everyone's favourite photo of (possibly) everyone's favourite LMS engine:



I had aimed to retake the same photo one year on, however fate conspired against me for that, as 6201 "Princess Elizabeth" was declared unavailable to operate the tour, for reasons unbeknown to me at this point in time.

However her replacement provided much merriment for the local enthusiasts, as it turned out to be Southern Railway Battle Of Britain Class Bullied Light Pacific 7P 4.6.2 number 34067 "Tangmere". Here she is seen passing Diggle Junction with the debut "Scarborough Flyer" of the 2011 season.
