On The Approach

Approaching Moston station from Mills Hill on a service from Oldham/Rochdale, is Class 150 number 150277. The service from Oldham via Rochdale is due to be withdrawn when the Oldham Loop Line is converted for Metrolink service. Work is expected to commence early next year (pictures to come?) with heavy rail services ceasing to operate on 3rd October 2009, with a replacement bus service operating until the first Metrolink services starting from Manchester to Oldham in 2011. Whether or not the withdrawal of rail services will mean a reduced service to Moston, Mills Hill and Castleton stations in the long term remains to be seen however.
